Foundations Course
FOUNDATIONS COURSE
The gateway to the CrossFit / Praxis and the Developmental / Reconditioning classes. This course is our unapologetic attempt to help you gain competency in all things Strength and Conditioning. A course of this depth, executed to the competency we demand of you and ourselves is a rare find. You will never look at biomechanics and exercise technique the same again. We take quality of movement seriously for your long-term development and health. You will reach our standards of understanding before you may move on to classes.
You will properly learn the proper techniques for athletic posture, mobility/stability strategies, weight lifting movements, calsthenic movements, rudamentary gymnastic movements etc.
You will become exposed to cyclical movements such as running, rowing, jumping rope, pushing/pulling sleds, and carrying objects over land.
You will be taken through a muscle extensability screen, a functional movement screen, and a body compisition screen. Through this process we will begin to implement any adaptive movement concepts you personalally must do to make training happen safely based on your current limitations.
